Happy Chinese New Year: The Year of the Monkey

On behalf of the Western Cape Government, I would like to wish the Chinese Community a Happy New Year: The Year of the Monkey.

Those born in Monkey years are full of energy, determined and possess strong leadership potential. I certainly hope that this year will be one of courage, decisive action, and true devotion to the goals you have set. I also wish you a year, which is filled with many opportunities for you and your families.

And when faced with various challenges, should they arise, may you find wisdom and strength to make the necessary decisions.

The Western Cape has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with some of our colleagues from the Chinese government and business sector. Thank you for your continued partnership in some of our major projects.

I am confident we will continue to work together to further strengthen our relationship, with both our Chinese colleagues abroad and here in the Western Cape.

May you enjoy peace and good health.
