On 8th Feb, Consul General Kang Yong met with Mr. Dan Plato, Minister for Community Safety of Western Cape Provincial Government.

Consul General Kang raised to Minister Plato with a criminal case happened in Malmesbury on 6th Feb, in which a Chinese businessman was killed in an armed robbery. He said the crime happened on the eve of Chinese New Year, the cold-blooded killing leaves the victim’s family shattered and local Chinese community in shock. Mr. Kang urged Minister Plato to take all necessary measures to bring those murderers to justice at an early time.

Minister Plato expressed his condolences to the victim’s family. He said that the Western Cape Provincial Government always stands firm with zero tolerance policy against crimes. He will work with SAPS Western Cape province Commissioner to make sure the case be cracked before long.
