"Experiencing China" refers to a series of cultural exchange programs sponsored by the Information Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. By "Experiencing China", the Chinese government wishes to promote the mutual understanding of the Chinese people and the foreign people, of the Chinese culture and different cultures. For this end, "Experiencing China" always brings the best and most representative Chinese art to the foreign countries.

 

In recent years, the ICSC has held "Experiencing China" in many countries, such as U.S.A, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, etc,. every time it arose "China Fever " in local.

 

Now, from Nov 1st to Nov 30th, "Experiencing China" comes to South Africa. The activities include 4 shows, 2 exhibitions held respectively in Pretoria and Cape Town as well as Chinese Film and TV Week. In Pretoria, there will be Exhibition of Chinese Fine Arts & Crafts, shows of "Song and Dance of Tang Dynasty", "Shaolin Kunfu" and "Heavenly Beauty of National Music". In Cape Town, Exhibition of Modern China, shows of "Chinese National Costumes", "Shaolin Kunfu" and "Heavenly Beauty of National Music" will be on.
